Good to know before you travel to Morocco
- German ID cards are not accepted, also not on package tours or charter flights; a passport is required
- Passport should be valid at least 6 months on arrival; damaged passports or an incomplete machine readable zone can lead to refusal
- The e-Visa (acces-maroc.ma) is single entry, max 30 days stay, valid 180 days from issue; standard fee 770 MAD, express 1,100 MAD
- e-Visa eligibility: certain nationalities directly (e.g. India), or any visa-required nationality with a residence permit from the EU, US, UK and other listed countries valid at least 180 days, or a multiple-entry Schengen, US or UK visa valid at least 90 days
- Overstaying 90 days is an offence and can block departure; extensions must be requested from the police before expiry
- Minors travelling without a legal guardian should carry a parental consent letter, birth certificate copy and a copy of the accompanying person's passport
