Tunisia announced in September 2025 simplified procedures for Egyptians holding a residence permit, a Schengen visa or a US visa, but the rules applied from 15 January 2026 name only researchers, university teachers, doctors, senior officials, mixed Tunisian-Egyptian families and tour groups of more than 10 booked through approved Tunisian agencies; check with the Tunisian embassy whether a German residence permit qualifies

- Groups of more than 10: nominal list, prepaid hotel voucher, return tickets and itinerary submitted in advance via an approved Tunisian travel agency
