- Valid passport
- Online application on gov.uk before travel (earliest 3 months before the trip)
- Biometrics appointment at a UK visa application centre in Germany
- Proof of funds, accommodation and travel plans
- Proof of ties and legal residence in Germany (German residence permit)
Visa national under Appendix Visitor (list updated 8 Oct 2026). Standard Visitor visa GBP 135 (6 months); long-term 2/5/10 years GBP 506/903/1128. Also needs a direct airside transit visa for airside transit unless exempt.
